Chatmore recently hosted a conference and part of that included a student panel on the integration of AI within our daily lives as students and educators. A question was put to the student panel: would you be okay with AI taking over as your teachers? I will admit, I thought there'd be many students in favour of having an all-knowing 'person' at the helm. However, the students were unanimous in their feedback , stating they would miss out on the core aspects of human engagement and the non-verbal communication that enriches our interactions. It made me think more carefully about how we build relationships with students at Chatmore.
In the ever-evolving landscape of education, the essence of meaningful teacher-student relationships remains an important part of student success. While technological advancements offer new tools for learning, the human connection between educators and students fosters an environment where learners can truly thrive.
