Joining the Chatmore Family
We are always excited to welcome new families to visit us at Chatmore and to experience the incredible education that our setting can offer you and your children. Our enrolment process is designed to be welcoming and personal.
Chatmore is an inclusive school though the majority of our learners are able to independently meet the academic and personal demands of a rigorous, student-centred learning environment.
We educate students from 4 years old (reception) to 18 (year 13) and our main intake is in the first term of each academic year. Places are limited so please get in touch to arrange a visit or to find out more. We are located on a lush campus in Smiths, Bermuda.
The first step is to contact us. Complete our interest form below and we'll be in touch soon!

The admissions process typically begins with a discovery phone call, followed by a visit to the school.
This visit allows families to understand the ethos of the school, which emphasises experiential, project-based learning, emotional intelligence, and respect for individuality. Parents and prospective students get the opportunity to explore the school, meet our students and see learning in action.
After the initial visit, parents are invited to complete our Application for Admission. Once received, an offer is made for a taster day (Y1 entry and above), a stay and play session (Reception entry) or a visit to the child's current learning setting. The trial session is informal, focusing on ensuring that the child feels comfortable and engaged in the learning. Parents are encouraged to be open about their child’s strengths and challenges to determine whether Chatmore is the right environment for them, to ensure we can cater to their individual development.
The admissions team reviews the application, trial session feedback, and discussions with parents before offering a place. As spaces are limited, early application is recommended. If we cannot offer a place, we will place families in our wait pool and will contact you as soon as a space becomes available.
Chatmore offers a distinctive education that combines rigorous learning with a focus on student well-being. Our Secondary students are independent, principled and engaged. The admissions process is carefully designed to ensure that students and families align with the school’s values and can thrive in our learning environment.
The process begins with a discovery call with interested families, followed by a visit to the school. During the visit, students and parents can experience the school's unique approach, which blends academic rigor with practical, experiential learning in a natural setting. This visit is a key opportunity for families to ask questions and gauge if the school’s philosophy suits their expectations.
After the visit, families can submit an online application, which asks for detailed information about the student’s academic background, interests, and learning needs. Chatmore looks for students who are principled, open-minded, critical thinkers and enthusiastic about learning.
Once the application is reviewed, students are invited to participate in a taster day(s). This involves spending time with current students, engaging in student-led learning tasks, and participating in wellbeing activities. The trial session helps teachers assess how well the student adapts to the school’s approach and whether they are suited for the academic and social programming.
Following the trial, the admissions team evaluates the student’s fit based on academic potential, interpersonal skills, and compatibility with the school’s ethos. As places are competitive, early application is advised. If we do not have space for your child at the time of application, we will place you in our waitpool and contact you as soon as a space becomes available.

We believe these unique advantages provide an experience that’s worth the investment for families.

Chatmore sets tuition carefully and aims to cover operational costs, not to make a profit. Chatmore is a small school that values personalised education. Many learners benefit from our close-knit environment, small class sizes, and caring teachers. Most times, students with mild needs thrive in a smaller environment. For students with additional needs, we carefully review whether we can provide the right level of support. If we believe a child’s needs go beyond what we can offer, we will guide families toward appropriate resources or other schooling options, always with the goal of ensuring the best possible fit for the child.
